uhm… well ttwins961, it depends on what type you have( u have to open the blu ray box to see that). but it should cost like 60 euro

I always liked sony but the ps3 is poorly made, they tend to have about 2 years before something craps out. And I’m sure you would do a much better job replacing parts than trusting some dude in a warehouse who just wants to slap ur shit together as fast as possible so he can get home sooner.

  18. pimpwitho says:

it costs 100 dollars for a new laser module id rather spend 150 and send it to sony to someone who knows what their doing

  19. rauliniz says:

i forgot to take the cd out before cleanin the lens :( what can i do?can you make a video about how to solve that problem please?? i ll be very grateful.

  20. pepkid says:

    yes same with me

  21. djdops says:

Another hint for those how forgot to take out the disk before disassembling the disk drive (just like me): When you take of the upper drive-mechanic, all those white and grey plastic things slide back and the disk drops down. When you reassamble it, just slide a disk in the mechanic from the front, and hold the disk through the the hole between the big white plastic parst on the top. This helps you a lot.

  22. djdops says:

Thanks for this usefull tutorial. But there is something different between your ps3 and mine (60gb version). When you unscrew the inner case-cover there are two more screws in 60gb version just a bit above the card-reader left and right oft the power supply.

  23. xXxRaLoxXx says:

Yes, I got the same problem…it’s not the lense, but the laser!
You have to let it get repaired by Sony if you’ve got warranty or repair it by yourself (like in this vid).

    Just for information:
If you don’t have warranty anymore, Sony will give you a USED PS3 for about 229€!
Try to repair it by yourself…a Laser costs about 80€ on Amazon…

    Hope I helped!

  24. atomicsoda88 says:

i replaced the laser following ur instructions, but my ps3 still tries to load a game, but then it blanks out.

    PLEASE HELP!

  25. devilcharm says:
